Successfully took permissions for file or folder C:\windows\Servicing\Packages zip script file at C:\Users\tjs\Desktop\SFCFix.zip I had a feeling that I hadn't done something right.

My bad - I made SCFFix.zip a desktop shortcut rather than saving it to the desktop. Yesterday I expanded the stand-alone installer package downloaded from the Microsoft catalog site: 23:42:43, Info CBS Repair failed: Missing replacement mum/cat pair. I've also attached the zipped DISM.log and CBS.log files should you need them.įYI, I noticed previously, and this time, that the CBS file contained the following:

This is the same thing that happened in my post #1. I had to interrupt the script with because it appeared to hang (I waited about 10 minutes for it to complete). I suspect that unless I resolve this issue that I will no longer be able to install other future updates. I don't believe they will resolve my problems or might make the problem worse.

The files recommended in the forum's instructions are attached. A screen shot of where it was stuck is attached in file "SCFFix_hang.jpg". I used SysInternal's "procmon64.exe" to see what it was doing prior to terminating it. I captured the screen and it's attached in the file "SCFfix initial explanation screen.jpg". I ran SFCFix.exe but had to terminate it via after allowing it to run for about 1.5 hours.
